Last Friday at The Nail Solon

The Nail Salon
Friday 03/20/20

Last week my nails needed to be refilled and I wanted to try a little different style "Tiger Claw" (I think). Because I like to work around my house a lot I decided to do a Mini style to avoid being to long or pointed, but still visually pleasing.

As usual and being the the Salon was busy a new client sat next to me, I didn't recognize her immediately and I was somewhat depressed due to the stock market performance due to the "Virus" so I wasn't very talkative with my my Nail Tech, she noticed and asked why, I just mentioned the market.

The lady next to me turned and asked "are you Lou" I said yes, she said I recognized your voice. We have known each-other for at least 20+ years but haven't seen each-other the past 2 years or so and she never met me as Lou and she changed too.

I guess in my case, not only does my "Louise" persona leave a lasting impression but so does my voice.

You are obviously more memorable than you think. "Lou/Louise" - my guess is that you answer to either regardless of how you are dressed.
The market has killed us. While I am only partially retired I had been looking at my nest egg for security and that is now way down. Most of what I had was in IRAs but it is depressing that it has been cut so much. Yesterday and today show good signs but it may be a while before we recover what was so quickly lost.
We are down the shore and waiting for when I can safely go back to work. While I am retired it does not mean I was not trying to make some money. I have a deal with my old firm that will pay me 49% of what I bring in but with the courts closed I have now way to generate hours/income. I am not much of a computer person so working from home is really not what I do.
